A logo cloud is a visual collection of company logos—typically clients, partners, platforms, or publications you’ve worked with or been featured in. It’s a simple way to say: “These are the kinds of businesses that trust us.”
It’s social proof. A well-executed logo cloud builds trust.
Because people might not know you and your business (yet), but if they see logos they do recognise—especially in your industry or region—it instantly lowers the trust barrier.
Social proof is a proven psychological trigger. It tells visitors, others have chosen to work with you, so maybe I can too. For B2B service providers, consultants, and digital businesses, it’s one of the fastest ways to add credibility to a website.
Here’s what to focus on:
1. Quality over quantity
It’s better to show five relevant, recognisable logos than fifteen no one’s heard of. Think: established clients, respected local businesses, known industry players.
2. Visual consistency
Avoid a patchwork of competing colours and shapes. Use grayscale or single-colour versions of logos to keep things clean and professional. Align sizes and spacing—it should feel considered, not thrown together.
3. Relevance
If you’re a SaaS company, show tech brands or B2B clients. If you’re a creative agency, show logos from the industries you specialise in. Relevance beats fame.
4. Placement
Logo clouds work best when placed high on the page—often just below the hero section or close to a trust-building headline. Don’t tuck them away in the footer where no one will see them.
5. Optional: Interactivity
Some brands link their logo clouds to case studies or testimonials. It’s a nice touch if you’ve got the content to back it up—but not essential.
B2B:
✅ Current clients—especially if they’re known in your niche. Remember to remove projects from years ago that don’t reflect your current work
B2C:
✅ Strategic partners, resellers, or collaborators
✅ Industry certifications or programs (e.g. Xero Partner, Google Partner)
✅ Media coverage or awards (only if recognised by your audience)
Logo clouds aren’t “set and forget.” As your business evolves, so should your proof points. Review and update every few months, especially if you’ve landed a big name or moved into a new space.
